DTF Heat Press Instructions

Properly prepared artwork helps KLEM KUSTOMS produce sharp, vibrant, and professional-quality DTF transfers. Please review these requirements before uploading your design.

Accepted File Format

For the best printing results, upload your artwork as a:

  • PNG file with a transparent background

  • 300 DPI resolution

  • File created at the exact size you want printed

  • High-resolution artwork with clean, smooth edges

Avoid screenshots, compressed images, and files downloaded from social media. These files are often low-resolution and may print blurry or pixelated.

Transparent Background Required

Remove the entire background before submitting your design. Any visible background, including white areas, will be printed unless it is an intentional part of the artwork.

Zoom in and carefully check for unwanted pixels, white outlines, rough edges, and background remnants before uploading your file.

Artwork Size and Resolution

Submit your design at the final printing dimensions. Enlarging a small or low-quality image does not improve its resolution and may reduce print quality.

We recommend artwork at 300 DPI. Text and small details should be clear and thick enough to print properly. Extremely thin lines, tiny text, soft shadows, transparent effects, and low-opacity elements may not produce reliable results.

Gang Sheet Requirements

When submitting a ready-to-print DTF gang sheet, the file must match the sheet size ordered. Leave enough space between each design so transfers can be cut without damaging nearby artwork.

Before uploading, confirm that:

  • Every design is the correct size

  • The complete gang sheet fits within the ordered dimensions

  • Designs do not overlap

  • Artwork is not cut off at the edges

  • All backgrounds have been removed

  • The file is high-resolution and ready to print

KLEM KUSTOMS prints gang sheet files as submitted. We are not responsible for incorrect sizing, spelling mistakes, duplicated artwork, poor placement, or low-quality images provided by the customer.

Colors and Print Appearance

Colors displayed on phones, tablets, and computer screens may differ slightly from the finished transfer. Screen brightness, color settings, garment color, fabric type, and pressing conditions can affect the final appearance.

For more predictable results, create artwork using an appropriate RGB color profile. Fluorescent, metallic, reflective, and exact specialty colors may not reproduce precisely through standard DTF printing.

Artwork Review and Editing

We may review files for basic printability, but this does not include proofreading, resizing, redesigning, or correcting customer artwork. You are responsible for checking all spelling, dimensions, colors, image quality, and design placement before submitting your order.

Background removal, artwork cleanup, resizing, or design corrections may be available for an additional fee. Contact us before ordering if you need assistance.

Copyright and Permission

By uploading artwork, you confirm that you own the design or have permission to reproduce it. KLEM KUSTOMS is not responsible for copyright, trademark, or licensing issues related to customer-submitted artwork.
